Great family trip. We took our two older teen children. They were very happy with a metro pass and a fist full of euros. We were able to have time to ourselves and just meet for dinner every night. Dinner in Paris every night was worth the price of the package. Even though the weather was cloudy and windy, it did not dampen our spirits. I would suggest bringing along some silk long underwear. It does get nippy waiting in line to see the museums. We loved walking, but the metro passes really came in handy. The only trouble was at the beginning. We almost missed the connecting flight in Dublin. Our plane was a bit late, and by the time we went through customs, we just barely made it. Might want to re-think having connecting flights in the winter. Also, the 6:00 am depart time on New Year's Day was pretty rough. Paris was wonderful. Rain prevented the fire works displays.... sad. We really missed that. All in all a great trip. We may start a family tradition of Christmas trips.

We took our twin 18 year old sons on this trip and rang in the New Year of 2002 together on a boat by the Effiel Tower. It was a wonderful week filled with memories that we will forever cherish. Little did we know what the future held for our family---one of our sons was killed in a car accident in April. We have that time in Paris together to remember.

I stayed at the Hotel Wallace in MArch. It was very clean and nice and located near the Metro. We walked from the hotel to the Eiffel Tower. I have no complaints about the accomodations, they were great. The vacation went well, although we did have some difficulty on the transfers. We had to wait in the airport for two hours, and there was no clerk at the transfer desk and the telephone number was always busy. We finally we able to have another driver call the transfer company. The transfer company was not very helpful, and kept promising that the driver was only going to be a few minutes.

Stayed at Hotel DeWaha -- good location and great breakfast (as compared to other small hotels). Nearby open-air market, small grocery store and cyber-bar. (Watch out for those European keyboards!)
All tickets, transportation, river cruise, Metro, etc. went without a hitch except airport return shuttle scheduled us too late for a pickup -- realized it the day before and called to reschedule.
We'll book again through you! Friends, relatives and co-workers can't believe the deals you offer!
