All packages are subject to availability at time of booking. Hotels that are on request may not be available and a comparable alternate will be offered.

Car rental is based on strict 24 hour consecutive periods. The lead person named on the reservation must be the main driver, present at time of rental and payer of any additional charges with a minimum age of 25 years except for Luxury and Prestige vehicle groups which the minimum age is strictly 30 years old. A major credit card in the main drivers name is required for pickup of the vehicle as a car return guarantee. An authorization is obtained on your credit card based on the estimated rental charges; there must be sufficient credit on your card to cover all charges. Additional driver fee is charged locally at time of car pickup. All drivers must present a valid USA driver license held for a minimum of one year at the time of rental. Theft protection is included and additional insurance, such as Collision Damage Waiver and Personal Accident Insurance, is available at time of car pickup and is paid locally. Government tax (VAT) at the rate of 17.5% is included. A Vehicle Licensee Fee (VLF) apply to all rentals and a Location Service Charge will apply to all rentals with pick-up in airport/railway station or some downtown locations which are payable locally upon pick-up. Rentals will be charged an administration fee in case of traffic fines. Rates do not include fuel. All Hertz vehicles are rented with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with full tank of fuel or a local refueling charge will apply. Child seats are available on request from all locations. Luggage racks are currently not offered. Additional charges for one way rentals are based on location restrictions and the vehicle type being rented. Vehicles rented from the United Kingdom may be driven to/from the Isle of Wight, the Orkney Isles and from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland with an extra charge for Premium, Luxury, Special and Automatic Van car groups to be paid locally. Driving to/from the Isle of Man, Guernsey or Jersey is prohibited. For round trip rentals from mainland UK to Continental Europe or Ireland, an additional surcharge will apply which includes RAC Continental Breakdown Coverage to be paid locally. Vehicles can only be driven into E.U. countries: Austria, France, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, Finland, Italy, United Kingdom and Portugal as well as Norway and Switzerland.

Collision Damage Waiver
Regardless of whether CDW or Theft Protection is accepted or included, all rentals are subject to a Non-Waivable excess as detailed below, depending on the vehicle group.

Collision Damage Waiver is an optional* service which, if accepted, reduces your financial liability for damage to the Hertz vehicle, its parts and accessories, except for theft, attempted theft or vandalism, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.

*CDW may be mandatory and included in some contract or preferential rates.

If CDW is declined, you will be responsible for the amount of the deductible - see table below.

Regardless of whether CDW is accepted or included, all rentals are subject to a non-waivable excess for which you are responsible in the event of damage to the Hertz vehicle during the rental - see table below. The table below varies as each country has a different Non Waivable Excess amount. The full terms will be given to you by Hertz when the car is picked up.
