Travel To Austria Austria is known as “The Most Musical Country of the World” and famous for both Mozart and The Sound of Music. Music festivals and events take place across the country throughout the year. But Austria's reach in tourism extends beyond its music. From the Alps to its vineyards, Austria is a beautiful country with an abundance of activities for you to experience. Go skiing and hiking in the mountainous regions, or go wine tasting and take river walks in the Danube Valley.

One of Austria’s most popular destinations is its capital, Vienna. In Vienna old coffee houses and rustic wine taverns line the city streets next to contemporary restaurants and fantastic shops. The city is also home to many parks and recreational areas, most noted is the Wienerwald.

Austria’s capital combines royal traditions and amazing modern architecture. Vienna is known for is many sights, coffee houses, inviting taverns and its Viennese appeal. There are numerous cultural events that take place throughout the year in Vienna, so you are sure to catch some festival on your vacation.

Another popular destination in Austria is Innsbruck. Scenically located between two remarkable mountain chains, Innsbruck offers spectacular views and unsurpassed surroundings. Take a gondola up into the mountains for breathtaking view of Innsbruck.

Innsbruck was the host of the 1964 and 1976 Olympic Winter games, making it a major hub for winter sports. From skiing and snowboarding to snow shoeing and skating, there is much to do in Innsbruck in the winter. In the summer Innsbruck warms up making the region perfect for cycling, hiking and walking.

Venture next to Salzburg, birthplace of the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Salzburg is home to many cultural events, including the renowned Salzburg Festival which attracts artists from all around the world to this beautiful city. Salzburg is filled with museums, churches, castles, and palaces you can visit. Salzburg’s picturesque old town is a UNESCO world heritage sight.

With so much to offer, from culture to scenery, it is no wonder Austria is such a popular destination for travelers.
