Travel to Hungary When visiting Hungary you will most likely be spending your time in its most popular city, Budapest.

Budapest is a remarkable city. While it is fast becoming a popular destination for travelers, it has managed to hold on to its old world charm. By walking through the city you will be able to explore the quiet neighborhoods, quaint store fronts and lively corner pubs. Follow the flower gardens that line apartment buildings and buy fruit from local sellers. The best way to experience Budapest is to dive into the city and involve your self in its culture.

There are also many hiking trails just outside the city in the Buda hills. These trails lead through an expansive forest, a beautiful way to spend an afternoon. Another way to spend time outdoors in Budapest is to pack a picnic lunch, with fruit from the neighborhood markets, and head to the park.

It has been said that Budapest looks its most beautiful at dawn. The sun rises over the plains and the town is lit is soft light colors. At night the Chain Bridge shines and the building lights give a fairy tale like appearance across the city. No matter what time of day you are sure to find beauty in all parts of Budapest.

Exploring the city by foot is easily accomplished, but Budapest offers a variety of choices in which to navigate the city. From bus, train, underground railway, horse and carriage, boat, and bicycle – the ways in which you can discover Budapest is as varied and exciting as the city itself.

With its old world charm and customs, Budapest has something to offer every traveler. The city’s hidden delights are waiting to be discovered.
