Travel to Netherlands Holland is a journey of discovery definitely worth taking.

What makes Holland such a popular and enjoyable destination for visitors? It seems that whatever you may be looking for in a vacation - you should be able to find it in Holland. Amsterdam may possibly be Holland's best-known city, but you have not really seen Holland until you venture out to these easily accessible cities that make up the rest of the picturesque landscape of Holland.

Around every corner you experience what makes Holland so unique and special. This is a country that mixes vibrant and trendy cosmopolitan cities with centuries old towns with rich historical pasts. Lively, modern architecture resembling "architectural works of art " exist along with medieval streets, monuments, manor houses and castles. In some towns, it is as if time has stood still.

Mindful of preserving many of it’s long standing traditions, you will still find wooden shoes and the traditional costumes; romantically lit canals; high dikes and more than 1,100 windmills. And, of course, Holland loves its flowers. This is evident by the abundance of flower shows, flower parades, flower festivals and flower markets that fill the streets. Brilliant, flowering fields paint the countryside and colorful displays of indoor and outdoor gardens dot the canal-lined streets. Everywhere you look you see flowers.

For many centuries Holland has produced great artist, such as the old masters - Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Vincent van Gogh. But the cities abound with museums and galleries housing modern classics and contemporary works as well. In fact, Amsterdam lays claim to more museums per square inch than any other city in the world.

Outdoor cafés for people-watching, inviting restaurants, markets, and alehouses line picturesque streets. You can shop to your heart’s content in exclusive boutiques, trendy shops and antique stores. There is no shortage of activities for children either. Dozens and dozens of attractions are available for children and families - including " a land where children are in charge. " And if you want to see nature at its best - then explore Holland by foot or bike. Holland is the ultimate biking and hiking country with a network of paths that make it all quite easy and enjoyable.
